Developing a vessels’ maneuvering module for adding to the Persian Model for Ocean Dynamics

Simulating vessels’ motion and improving their maneuverability in harbor access channels can effectively promote efficiency in the port’s overall transport chain and consequently develop a nation’s economy. This research program seeks to develop a software tool which can take account of maneuvering calculations and surface vessels control under different maneuvering scenarios and conditions. Of the significant outcomes of this project are promoting transport efficiency, boosting navigational safety, managing the shipping traffic and reducing tolls in ports.
