Developing the Persian model for predicting wave and 3D current fields of the Persian Gulf

Due to its strategic importance, a comprehensive numerical study of the Persian Gulf is required. Hence, the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) has decided to develop a Persian computational model for simulating and predicting wave and 3D current fields of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormoz, applying all the pertinent modules of this Persian model and the other models (e.g. reliable meteorological models), as well as modules for tracking floating objects and oil spills.
